I began my pet care and training career in 2007. As a dog walker, I quickly found that there was great need for expanded pet services in the Pittsburgh, PA area. So, I decided to follow my passion for animals by enrolling and graduating from a certified animal behavior program. Now equipped with the requisite skills and experience, I formed Steel City Pack Leader in 2018 to meet the growing demand in Pittsburgh.

I developed a partnership with a local dog daycare where I instituted policies and procedures consistent with high quality pet care. Additionally, I authored and implemented an employee handbook, and played a critical role in the opening of additional stores and franchise locations. 

After spending a few years working at the dog daycare, I decided it was time to refocus my efforts exlusivlely on Steel City Pack Leader. In 2019, I expanded my consulting offerings to include an entrepreneurial development program. The program is designed to provide the tools, education, and support needed by pet care professionals to enable their businesses to grow and succeed.

SCPL uses capturing, one of the easiest and fastest way for humans and dogs to learn to work together, as its primary teaching tool for reinforcing wanted behavior. We teach our clients that a slow and steady pace is best for successful growth and overall understanding. We teach how to manage unwanted behaviors with the environment and move into successful learning exercises.
